Does the handle stay cool after using in microwave?

      A:

Hi Roxana. As with all porcelain items, the mug, including the handle, can become hot when heated in a microwave. Because of this our Use & Care advises to "Handle hot items with a dry cloth or potholder."

  • Q:

I have a Corelle white set of dishes and the mugs I bought have black marks on the inside from stirring with a teaspoon. I want 10 or 12 oz. mugs that are made out of the same material as my dishes because they don't mark up. Can you help me choose the right ones. Thank you Joy Barber

      A:

All of our current mugs are made of stoneware or porcelain. You can try removing the marks using a non-abrasive, professional powder cleanser called Bar Keepers Friend.

    • A:

Stoneware creates black marks from contact with silverware. Using a Brillo or SOS pad will remove the marks. Porcelain won't create black marks from contact with silverware.

What is the weight comparison between the stoneware and porcelain mugs?

      A:

The Winter Frost White and Pure White mugs are alike in color, but they are different shapes. Winter Frost White is round, and Pure White is square. The square mugs made of porcelain are generally slightly heavier.
